He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on August 22, 1942 and was killed in action on July 6, 1944. He served as a Lance Corporal in Labrador. LAWSON, Norma Elaine WWII Norma was born in Alberton District, the daughter of William C. and Margaret Blanche (Leard) Lawson. She enlisted in the Army on May 15, 1944 and was discharged on April 16, 1946. She served as a Sergeant in the Canadian Women’s Army Corps in Canada and the United Kingdom. KEOUGH, Jean Elizabeth WWII Jean was born in 1921 on Prince Edward Island. She was the daughter of Martin and Maude Keough. She served in Canada in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II from May 1942 to January 6, 1945. Jean passed away on June 1, 2014, at the age of 92. She is buried in the Parish cemetery of St. Peter’s Church, Seven Mile Bay.
