VETERANS’ SERVICE RECOGNITION BOOK – VOLUME 18 / 43 THE ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND COMMAND HENNEBERY, Joseph Edmund “Joe” WWII Joe was born in Morell on July 7, 1919, the son of Edmund Joseph and May Hennebery. He was a sapper with the Royal Canadian Engineers, 33rd Field Company and served in the United Kingdom, France, and The Netherlands. On April 20, 1945, he died of injuries received in an accident on April 15. He is buried in the Canadian War Cemetery in Groesbeek, The Netherlands. HARBER, Windell WWII Windell was born in Fonde, Kentucky, USA in 1922. He served with the US Army overseas in the 41st Tank Battalion, 11th Armed Division from 1940 to 1945. Windell passed away in 1996, and rests at Peoples Cemetery in Charlottetown. GILLCASH, Carman Edward WWII Carman was born and raised on a farm in Glenwood, PEI, the son of Stewart and Mae (Boulter) Gillcash. Carman joined the Army at a young age and was with the Cape Breton Highlanders when he lost his life on April 29, 1945, at the age of 27. He is buried at the Canadian War Cemetery in Holten, The Netherlands.
