He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on April 16, 1941 and was discharged on December 27, 1945. He served as a Leading Aircraftsman in Canada. NOONON, William “Ralph” WWII Ralph was born in Carleton, Prince Edward Island in 1921. He enlisted on November 24, 1941 during World War II and was an assistant cook, then cook on various corvettes but spent most of his service on HMCS Amherst. Ralph was medically discharged on November 10, 1944. He received the Atlantic Star, African Star, 1939-1945 Star, War Medal 1939-1945 and two Canadian Volunteer Service Medals. After the war, he moved to Ontario. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 10 in Borden-Carleton. Ralph passed away in 1976. NICHOLSON, Douglas Beaumont WWII Douglas was born in the Alberton District, son of Robert Hodgson and Beatrice Gertrude (Paton) Nicholson. He enlisted in the Army Medical Corps on September 2, 1939 and was discharged in November 1945. He served as a Corporal in the #6 District Signals in Canada.
