He enlisted in the Army and Navy on June 12, 1940 and was discharged on November 23, 1945. He served as a Trooper in the HMCS in Canada. MARTIN, Arthur Augustine “Gus” WWII Arthur was born in Bloomfield District, son of Hector and Angeline (Peters) Martin. He enlisted in the Army and Royal Canadian Air Force on September 1, 1939 and was discharged on November 1, 1968. He served as a Private in the Nova Scotia Highlanders Third Division in the UK and Continental Europe. MacKAY, John H. WWII John was born in Summerside, Prince Edward Island in 1923. He served with the Construction and Maintenance Unit in Newfoundland and Labrador, and across Canada during World War II. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Borden-Carleton Branch 10. John married Roma (Howatt), and they lived in Albany and later in Crapaud. He received two service medals. John passed away in 2018.
