He served as a Private in the Princess Louise Fusiliers in the United Kingdom, Central Mediterranean and Continental Europe. GALLANT, Joseph “Emanuel” WWII Joseph was born in Bloomfield District, son of Prosper and Mary Blanche (Arsenault) Gallant. He enlisted in the Army in 1939 and was discharged in 1943. He served as a Corporal in the 5th Division in Canada, England, Holland and Belgium. GALLANT, John Joseph WWII John was born in Bloomfield District, son of Prosper and Priscilla Gallant. He enlisted in the Army on January 26, 1943 and was discharged on August 10, 1945. He served as a Gunner in the #6 District Depot C.A. in Canada.
