He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on November 10, 1941 and was discharged on November 27, 1945. He served as a Corporal in Canada and the United Kingdom. CAHILL, Joseph Clifford WWII Joseph was born in Alberton District, son of Peter J. and Alice (Morrisey) Cahill. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps on May 15, 1942 and was discharged on March 2, 1946. He served as a Gunner in Canada and Newfoundland. BUXTON, Charles Benjamin Murray WWI Charles was born in Cape Traverse, Prince Edward Island in 1893. He was a teacher and principal in Cape Traverse School and a School Inspector in West Prince before World War I. He enlisted in the Army with the Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry, serving in Belgium, England, and France. During the battle of Mount Sorrel in Sanctuary Wood, Belgium, just outside Ypres, he was declared missing on June 2, 1916 and then declared dead on June 4, 1916, as there was no evidence he was alive. His body was never found, and his name is engraved on the Menin Gate Memorial in Ypres.
