He served as a Private in the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps in the UK, Central Mediterranean and Continental Europe. GALLANT, Leo Alfred WWII Leo was born in Bloomfield District, son of Peter Urbang and Elizabeth (Perry) Gallant. He enlisted in the Army on March 17, 1945 and was discharged on December 8, 1945. He served as a Gunner in the Royal Canadian Artillery in Canada. GALLANT, Joseph Stanislaus WWII Joseph was born in Bloomfield District, son of Stanley and Kathleen (Peters) Gallant. He enlisted in the Navy on May 15, 1941 and was discharged on October 5, 1945. He served as an Able Seaman.
