Military Service Recognition Book – Volume 15 / 61 The Royal Canadian Legion Prince Edward Island Command MORRISON, John Albert WWII Albert was born in St. Catharines, ON in 1920. He enlisted in the Navy in April 1942 and served until October 1945. He was married to Ora. Albert passed away in 2002 and was a member of the Legion Borden-Carleton Branch 10. McKENZIE, Alexander “Alex” WWI Alex was born in Breadalbane, PEI to Mary Ann and Murdoch McKenzie on June 26, 1891. He enlisted in the Army on January 5, 1916 in Waskada, Manitoba. He arrived in England on the SS Olympia November 20, 1916 with the 222nd Battalion. He was drafted from this Battalion to the 44th on December 28, 1916. He arrived in France on February 9, 1917 and was killed in action at Vimy Ridge on April 10, 1917. He is buried in Canadian Cemetery No.2, Neuville-St. VaastPlot 2, Row C, Grave 3. He was awarded the British War Medal and the Victory Medal. McINTYRE, Kenneth Leo WWII Kenneth was born in Alberton Area, the son of Anthony and Sophia (MacDonald) McIntyre. He enlisted in the Army on June 12, 1944 and was discharged on March 26, 1946. He served as a Private in the Canadian Infantry Corps in Canada.
