Military Service Recognition Book – Volume 15 / 53 The Royal Canadian Legion Prince Edward Island Command MALLETT, Justin Frederick WWII Justin was born in Northport, the son of William Howard and Josephine (Gaudet) Mallett. He enlisted in the Army on June 25, 1940 and was discharged on November 21, 1945. He served as a Gunner in the Royal Canadian Artillery in Canada, UK, and Continental Europe. MADIGAN (ACORN), Ada WWII Lieutenant Ada (Acorn) Madigan was born in Primrose, Kings County, PEI in 1909. She was the daughter of Philip and Janet (Jennie) Matheson Acorn. She served as a Registered Nurse in the Canadian Army during World War II from 1942 to 1945; her postings included Whitehorse, Yukon. Ada passed away in 1988. MacWILLIAMS, Lloyd George Melbern WWII Lloyd was born in Carleton Siding in 1919. He enlisted in the Army in 1943 and served with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders. He served in the UK, Continental Europe (France and Germany) and Canada during World War II. He received the France and Germany Star and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. Lloyd was discharged in 1946. He was married to Marion. He was a member of the Legion since 1971 at the Borden-Carleton Branch 10. Lloyd passed away in 1998.
