Military Service Recognition Book – Volume 15 / 3 The Royal Canadian Legion Prince Edward Island Command This year commemorates the 100th anniversary of the signing of the armistice which ended WWI at 11:00 a.m. on the 11th of November 1918. This “War to End All Wars” was followed by WWII, the Korean War, peace-keeping missions, NATO operations, and the Afghanistan War. The Canadian military’s men and women have always been ready and willing to assist their allies in the pursuit of democracy, freedom and human rights. The PEI Command of The Royal Canadian Legion, its members, staff and Ladies Auxiliary, wish to extend our thanks to all who provided assistance in making this book a huge success. The individuals who were so kind to forward pictures of the Veterans with brief biographies; our thanks go out to all of you. Let us remember all who did not return and those that have served and are suffering from the effects of conflict whether physical or mental. This book will enable PEI Command to continue to provide support to our Veterans, youth, and various community programs. Thank you. “We will remember them.” “Nous nous souviendrons d’eux.” Stephen Gallant Provincial President Prince Edward Island Command The Royal Canadian Legion Message from the President
