Lest We Forget / 3 The Royal Canadian Legion Prince Edward Island Command April 9th, 2017 marked the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge. The Royal Canadian Legion recognizes the significance of this historic milestone. This year also marks the 150th birthday of our great country Canada. The Royal Canadian Legion thanks the brave men and women who bravely joined our Canadian military to protect our country and give us the freedom we have today. On behalf of the Executive Council of Prince Edward Island, the Royal Canadian Legion, its members, staff and Ladies Auxiliary I wish to express my gratitude to all of those who have made our commemorative booklet a success.
