He enlisted in the Army and served as a Private in Canada. FOLLAND, Albert James WWII Albert was born on April 16, 1916 in Graham’s Road, Prince Edward Island. He was the son of Robert Folland and Harriet Palmer. He enlisted in the Army on July 2, 1940 in Charlottetown, PEI and served with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders in Canada, Britain and Northwest Europe during World War II. Private Folland was discharged on September 20, 1945 in Halifax, NS. He was awarded the 1939-45 Star, the France and Germany Star, the Defence Medal, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp, and the War Medal 1939-45. Albert passed away in March 1968. FITZGERALD, William Thomas William was born in Alberton District. He enlisted in the Army and served as Private with the Home Guard in Canada.
