WHITE (LeBLANC), Alban WWI Alban, son of Hypolite LeBlanc and Marguerite Barriault, enlisted in the Canadian Army on January 16, 1917. He served in the 105th and 26th Battalions in France during World War I. Alban was discharged on May 19, 1919. WHITE, Anthony WWI & WWII Anthony, son of Hypolite LeBlanc and Marguerite Barriault, served in WWI as a stretcher bearer with the 105th Regiment. While on the front line of battle with shelling going on around him, he retrieved one of his wounded buddies, treated his wounds and brought him back to safety. By his bravery and lack of regard for himself, Private White earned the Military Medal and Bar. He also joined the Veterans Guard of Canada in World War II and accompanied German prisoners to various spots including Cochrane, Ontario. He was stationed in Nova Scotia at Dartmouth, in New Brunswick at St. Stephen and Ripples and in Quebec at Valcartier. Anthony died on June 11, 1975. WILLIAMS, George Ervin WWII George was born to Robert James Williams and Ella Beatrice Arthur in the Bloomfield district of Prince Edward Island. He served as a Sergeant in the Army in Labrador.
