Lest We Forget / 75 WEDGE, Alfred WWI Alfred, son of Joseph Wedge and Joséphine Poirier, joined the 105th Battalion with the Canadian Expeditionary Force on May 9, 1917 and served as a Private in Canada, Britain and France with the 26th Battalion. Alfred was discharged on March 28, 1919 and was awarded the British War Medal and the Victory Medal. Local information has it that Anthony White saved his life. WEDGE, Peter Lemuel WWII Peter was born to Frank Wedge and Émilie Gaudin in the Bloomfield district in Prince Edward Island. He joined the Army and served as a Private with the Prince Edward Island Highlanders and the West Nova Scotia Regiment in Canada, Newfoundland, Britain and the Central Mediterranean area. WELLS, Ralph Ernest WWII Ralph, son of Susan (Wells) Gordon Smallman, was born in the Bloomfield district in Prince Edward Island.
