MacLEAN, John Angus WWII John was born in Lewis, Prince Edward Island on May 15, 1914. He enlisted on September 8, 1939 with the Royal Canadian Air Force and served as a Halifax Bomber pilot in England and Holland. John was shot down in a bombing raid over Holland and escaped after six weeks in hiding with the help of the Dutch Underground. He returned to Britain. John was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross on November 15, 1947. John passed away on February 15, 2000. MacLELLAN, Ronald J. WWII Ronald was a son to John L. and Angelina MacLellan. His date of Induction into the American Army was January 14, 1943 and date of Separation was January 29, 1946. He was awarded the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Ribbons with two Bronze battle stars and the World War II Victory Ribbon Purple Heart.
