Lest We Forget / 41 MacAULAY, Donna PEACETIME Donna, from Cardigan, Prince Edward Island, recently retired from the Canadian Armed Forces and presently lives in Ontario. Captain MacAulay received the Member of the Order of Military Merit and the Canadian Forces Decoration 2. MacBETH, Daniel WWI Daniel was born in Forest Hill in 1897. He enlisted with the 78th Battalion, Canadian Infantry, Manitoba Regiment in November 1916. He was sent overseas where he was killed in battle on September 3, 1918 at the age of 21. Private MacBeth is buried in the Aubigny Communal Cemetery Extension in Plot IV, Row E, Grave 60. MacBETH, Malcolm A. WWI Malcolm was born in Forest Hill in 1885. He went out west to work and enlisted in Revelstoke with the 7th Battalion, British Columbia Regiment in June 1915. Three weeks later, Private MacBeth was sent overseas with a draft from the 54th Battalion. He spent several months in the trenches overseas in the winter of 1915 and 1916. Malcolm died on May 17, 1917 at Sunny View Sanatorium, in Kamloops, British Columbia of tuberculosis which developed from a severe cold he contracted in the service. He was buried in Revelstoke with full military honours. Malcolm’s brothers, James and Samuel, also served in World War I. The Royal Canadian Legion Prince Edward Island Command
