Lest We Forget / 35 JAMES, Alfred E. WWI Alfred was born on March 14, 1896 on the family homestead. He was a native of Midgell and was employed for a time by two druggists, Johnson & Johnson. He enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force on July 13, 1914 and served with the 5th Battalion, Heavy Battery Artillery in World War I. While training in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Alfred became ill and he passed away on January 30, 1915 at the Station Hospital. He was buried in the Marie Cemetery. JUDSON, Adoniram G. WWI Adoniram was born in March 1894 in Alexandria, Prince Edward Island. He enlisted in the 105th Canadian Expeditionary Force in 1914 and was sent overseas to England and France. Private Judson fought at the Battles of Ypres and Amiens. After his discharge in 1918, he returned to Mount Hope where he and his wife, Lulu Dockendorff, raised a family. Adoniram died in July 1984 and was buried in Dundas Cemetery. KELLY, Ronald James WWII Ronald was born in Pisquid, Prince Edward Island on April 24, 1923. He enlisted in the Prince Edward Island Light Horse Canadian Armoured Brigade on May 16, 1941 and served in Canada, in the United Kingdom, Northwest Europe and at the D-Day Invasion on June 6, 1944. He was discharged on November 24, 1945. Ronald is deceased. The Royal Canadian Legion Prince Edward Island Command
