Lest We Forget / 73 O’BRIEN, Zenon A. WWII Private Zenon A. O’Brien, son of Herbert and Mary Gavin, enlisted in the Canadian Army on October 5, 1942 in Halifax, Nova Scotia and served in the Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps for three years in Hamilton and Kingston, Ontario and Halifax, Nova Scotia. He was then taken on strength by the Cape Breton Highlanders, serving one year in Belgium and Holland and was discharged on March 16, 1946. He received the 1939-45 Star War Medal and the France/Germany Star. PERRY, Doris WWII Doris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvère Perry, served during the World War Two.
