Lest We Forget / 53 HEAD, Alfred John WWII Alfred was born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island in either 1911 or 1912. He joined the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps serving in Newfoundland from 1939-45. He received the 1939-45 Medal, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp and the Defence Medal. Alfred passed away in 1995. HEAD, William Elmer WWII William was born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island in 1921 and enlisted in the Canadian Army on March 11, 1943. He served in Cape Breton and New Brunswick and was released in June 1946. William passed away in 2013. HURSHMAN (nee BUTLER), Melody PEACETIME Corporal Melody Hurshman is the daughter of Grant Butler and Ronnie-Rose MacKinnon of Alberton District. She served with the Canadian Forces, Mobil Support Equipment from November 1985 to 1995, serving at Cornwallis, Nova Scotia; Borden, Ontario; Halifax, Nova Scotia; CFB Larh; Gulf War, Petawawa, Ontario.
