Lest We Forget / 13 aRseNaulT, alphonse s. WWII Alphonse, son of Philippe V. and Ursule Arsenault, enlisted in the PEI Highlanders in Charlottetown in 1942. He served with the Pictou Highlanders in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and also served for two and a half years in the West Indies. Private Arsenault was discharged in 1946. aRseNaulT, alphée J. WWII Alphée, son of Arsène and Julie Arsenault, joined the North Nova Scotia Highlanders in June 1940 and served in the United Kingdom, France, Belgium and Holland for three years. Private Arsenault died in Holland on June 5, 1945. aRseNaulT, alphonse Joseph WWII Alphonse, son of Gilbert Arsenault and Émilienne Gallant, joined the West Nova Scotia Regiment on October 29, 1942 and served as a Private in the United Kingdom, the Central Mediterranean area and in Italy. Alphonse was discharged on November 19, 1945. aRseNaulT, alyre WWII Alyre, son of Philicien and Alma Arsenault, served as an Airman in the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1941 to 1944. He served in Canada as an electrician. aRseNaulT, alyre WWII Alyre, son of Mr. and Mrs. Théophile Arsenault, enlisted in the PEI Highlanders in Charlottetown on December 12, 1942. He trained in Aldershot, NS and at Camp Borden, ON with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders before proceeding overseas on May 7, 1944. He served as a drivermechanic in the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps, attached to the 10th Canadian General Hospital. His overseas experience took him to England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Private Arsenault was discharged on March 30, 1946. The Royal Canadian Legion Prince Edward Island Command
