Lest We Forget / 61 ReID, Ivan William WWII Ivan was born in Murray Harbour North, PE in 1923. He joined the North Nova Scotia Highlanders in August 1941 and was discharged on March 6, 1946. Ivan is deceased. PURDY, Harold gordon WWII Sergeant Purdy was born in Alberton, PE. He joined the Army on January 17, 1940 and served with the Canadian Dental Corps in Canada and in the UK. Harold was discharged on October 30, 1945. RaPsON, alton Daniel WWII Alton, son of Harry and Elizabeth (Robbins) Rapson, was born on December 7, 1921 in Milburn, PE. He joined the Navy in 1939 and served overseas as a wireless operator aboard the St. Laurent. Alton passed away on December 17, 1986. RICHaRD, sylvère WWII Private Sylvère Richard, son of Augustin and Théodosie Richard, was killed in action in Coriano, Italy. ROgeRsON, adrian WWI Adrian was born in Pugwash, NS and moved to Lady Fane, PE at an early age. He joined the Signal Corps on December 16, 1915. While in the trenches in France, he met up with his father, James, who had also joined the Forces. He was discharged on March 29, 1919 and returned to PE. Adrian is deceased.
