Lest We Forget / 51 MULLIN, Mercier Joseph (Mutt) WWII & KORea Captain Major Mullin, son of Daniel and Josephine (Sharkey) Mullin, was born in St. Peter’s Bay, PE on October 13, 1919. He joined the Militia in September 1937, transferred to the North Nova Scotia Highlanders and served in France, Holland and Germany. He remained in the Armed Forces and was sent to Korea before being discharged in January 1954. Mercier passed away on June 30, 1968. McRae, Joseph arthur (art) WWII Trooper McRae was born in Alberton, PE. He enlisted in the Army on December 2, 1942 and served with the 8th New Brunswick Hussars in Canada, UK, Italy, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Joseph was discharged on March 8, 1946. MeTHeRaLL, Douglas Charles WWII Sergeant Metherall, son of Gilbert Metherall and Minnie Hardy, was born in Bloomfield, PE. He enlisted on May 18, 1943 and served with the Royal Canadian Air Force in Canada and in the UK. Douglas was discharged in May 1946. MULLIN, Tobias Wilfred WWII Sergeant Mullin, son of Daniel J. and Josephine (Sharkey) Mullin, was born on June 21, 1912 in St. Peter’s Bay, PE. He enlisted on September 5, 1939 with the 2nd Battery Regiment and served in England, Italy and Africa. Tobias was discharged on August 23, 1945 and is now deceased. MURPHY, Harry WWII Harry joined the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve in June 1946 and was discharged on January 31, 1946. Harry is deceased.
