Lest We Forget / 9 aRseNaULT, Camille J. WWI & WWII Private Camille J. Arsenault, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fidèle Arsenault, enlisted in the Army in 1914. He served in the Artillery during WWI and saw action at the Battle of Vimy Ridge. He was discharged in 1918 but re-enlisted in the Second World War in 1941 and served with the Veterans Guard of Canada for four years. Camille was discharged in 1945. aRseNaULT, Benoît WWI Private Benoît Arsenault, son of Léon (Sylvain) and Elizabeth Arsenault, served in France during World War I. aRseNaULT, Calixte WWI Private Calixte Arsenault, son of Joseph and Sophie Arsenault, enlisted in the Army in January, 1916. He served with the 105th Battalion in Canada and was discharged on medical grounds in Halifax on January 10, 1917. Calixte received the British War Medal. aRseNaULT, Cyrus WWI Private Cyrus Arsenault, son of Mr. and Mrs. Théophile Arsenault, served in the U.S. Army. He died in the U.S. as a result of gas inhalation received during the war on January 10, 1919. Cyrus was 23. aRseNaULT, Cyrus WWI Private Cyrus Arsenault, son of Laurent (Avis) and Madeleine Arsenault, served in England at the end of World War I.
