A., son of Basil and Nellie MacKinnon of the Wellington area, enlisted in the Army on June 19, 1941 and served in the Royal Canadian Artillery in the AntiTank Corps in the Italian and Western Campaigns. He was discharged in October 1945. MacINNIs, James donald “Jimmy Frank” wwII James was born in Fortune Road, PEI on August 26, 1918 and joined the Royal Canadian Air Force. He passed away on February 28, 1971. MacKENZIE, James Henry wwII James was born in Greenwich, PEI on September 29, 1919 and enlisted with the 89th Battery, 1st Anti-Aircraft Regiment on June 29, 1940. He was sent overseas to England and contracted tuberculosis and was discharged on May 21, 1943. MacKINNON, georges F. wwII Georges, son of John S. MacKinnon and Veronica Williams of the Wellington area, enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy in October 1941 in Ottawa. After his basic training in Toronto, he took coding and decoding courses in St. Hyacinthe, Quebec and served the summer of 1942 at Gaspe Naval Base then to St. John’s, Newfoundland, where he was transferred to HMCS Sea Cliffe on trans-Atlantic convoy duty (the Newfy-Derry run). George was discharged on August 31, 1945. MacKINNON, georges william wwII Georges, son of Basil and Nellie MacKinnon of the Wellington area, enlisted in the Canadian Army on June 23, 1942 and served in Labrador with the Royal Canadian Artillery until the summer of 1944. He sailed for England in July 1944, having been taken on strength by the Essex Scottish Regiment of Windsor, Ontario (Infantry).
