Lest We Forget / 53 MacdONald, Hilary wwII Hilary was born in Farmington, PEI on August 6, 1921 and enlisted in the Army. He was discharged on March 16, 1945 to return home to run the family farm. MacdONald, daniel archibald wwII Daniel, son of Edmond James and Mary Mathilda MacDonald of the Wellington area, served on the S.S. Proteus which was torpedoed off the Virgin Islands in November 1941. Daniel was lost at sea. MacdONald, Fabian wwI Fabian was born in Gloucester, Mass on August 14, 1895 and later moved to Cable Head, PEI. He enlisted with the 105th Battalion on October 29, 1915 and was transferred to the 13th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force. He was discharged on April 30, 1919. While serving overseas in battle, he was seriously gassed and resulted in his death at the age of 26 on November 29, 1921. MacdONald, James “Jim dougal” wwII James was born in Cardigan Road, PEI on December 22, 1911 and enlisted in the Army on May 12, 1942 serving in England, North Africa, Sicily, Italy, Belgium and Holland. He was discharged on December 3, 1945. MacdONald, Pius allan wwII Pius was born in Bristol, PEI on September 20, 1920 and enlisted in the Army and was posted to Barryfield, Ontario and Halifax, Nova Scotia.
