He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on May 26, 1942 and was stationed in Dafoe, Manitoba. James became ill and received a medical discharge and passed away in Sunnybrook Veterans Hospital in Toronto on May 19, 1943. lEggETT (ClOsE), Florence annie wwII Florence was born on June 7, 1891 in London, England, the daughter of Alfred and Agnes (Benton) Close. She served with the Women’s Royal Air Force as a pay clerk from September 30, 1918 to August 24, 1919. Florence died on July 16, 1975 in Working Victoria Hospital and is buried in the Brookwood Cemetery, England. lEwIs, Russell wwII Russell was born in Alberton, PEI and joined the Royal Canadian Artillery, Forestry Corps in 1941 and served in Canada, Britain and Scotland until April 11, 1944. lOCKE, Harry Erstine wwII Harry was born in Clifton, PEI on September 4, 1921 and joined the service on April 1, 1943 in Charlottetown serving in Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. He was wounded in action and sent to Camp Hill Hospital. He was discharged on June 29, 1945. Harry passed away on May 27, 1989. lOCKERBY, John Erskine wwI John, son of Howard Russell and Mary (Hillman) Lockerby was born in Cascumpec, PEI and joined the 16th Battalion, 72nd Regiment Seaforth Highlanders and served in France and Belgium from September 23, 1914 to 1917 and received the British War Medal and Victory War Medal.
