Lest We Forget / 47 leClaIR, Joseph Jerome wwII Jerome, son of Joseph LeClair and Mathilda Solomon, of the Wellington area, enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in November 1941 and served in Summerside, PEI, Yarmouth, NS, and Kapuskasing, ON. He was discharged on December 29, 1945. leClaIR, Edouard Joseph wwII Edouard, son of Joseph LeClair and Mathilda Solomon, of the Wellington area enlisted in the Canadian Army on February 17, 1943 and served in Canada, the United Kingdom, France and Germany in the Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps (4th Canadian Armoured Troop Workshop). He was discharged on April 17, 1946 and received the 1939-1945 Star, the France/Germany Star, the Defence Medal, and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. leClaIR, Francois wwII Francois, son of Joseph LeClair and Mathilda Solomon, of the Wellington area, enlisted on February 11, 1943 and served for a time in the 22nd Regiment Royal Canadian Engineers. He served as batman for the Officers Mess at Beach Grove Inn in Charlottetown. As the result of an accident while doing his basic training, he was discharged on March 8, 1943. lEECO, Percy Raulston wwII Percy was born in Murray Harbour, PEI in 1917 and enlisted with the R.C.N.- V.R. on June 14, 1941 and was discharged on February 22, 1946. Percy is deceased. lEggETT, Burrice william Thomas wwI & wwII Burrice was born on December 28, 1895 in Brookwood, Surrey, England, the son of William and Flora (Baker) Leggett and served in WWI with the Royal Dublin Fusiliers from September 2, 1914 to November 11, 1918. He transferred to the Army reserves on April 12, 1919 and served overseas and was wounded in action. He also served with the British Army in World War Two from 1939-1945, and was married to Florence Annie (Close) Leggett. Burrice died on May 21, 1984 and is buried in Brookwood Cemetery, England.
