Lest We Forget / 29 CaMPBEll, Robert wwII Robert was born in Alberton, PEI and joined the Merchant Navy as a seaman in 1941 and served in the Atlantic until 1942. CaMPBEll, Emmerson Ross wwI Emmerson, son of Ewen and Tamer (McKendrick) Campbell was born in Alberton, PEI and joined the 26th Battalion, Canadian Infantry serving in England from November 8, 1916 to May 7, 1918. CaMPBEll, Frederick John wwII Frederick served with the PEI Lighthorse Cavalry from 1937 to 1940, and then served in England from 1941 to 1943, and in Italy from 1943 to 1945. He was then posted in Holland until the end of the War. In 1943, he married Doris Noakes and was discharged in October 1945 but later joined the 17th R.E.C.C.E. Militia from which he was discharged in 1967 after serving seventeen years. CasElEY, willard stanton wwII Willard, son of Lyman W. and Mary Jane (Gibbs) Caseley was born in Cascumpec, PEI and joined the Kings Own Scottish Borderers 1st Unit RCIC serving from 1939 to August 6, 1944. CHaMPION, Charles Edison wwII Edison was born on October 31, 1924 in Darnley, PEI and joined the Black Watch in 1941. He was wounded in action in March 1945 and passed away in September 1973.
