Lest We Forget / 57 PERRY, Norman WWII Norman was born in Totten, Mass, USA, on May 6, 1921. He joined the PEI Regiment in 1940 and later transferred to the West Nova Scotia Regiment and then on to Lorne Scotts. He served with No. 1 Protective Core Service Unit in England, France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Italy and Sicily. He was discharged in 1945. Norman now resides at Andrews Lodge in Summerside, PEI. OʼHANLEY, Hubert John WWII Hubert was born in St. Peterʼs Bay on November 3, 1921, and enlisted on August 8, 1942, with the PEI Highlanders, but was sent home because he was too young. He re-enlisted with the Canadian Parachute Battalion and served overseas. He was discharged in November 1945. PARTRIDGE, John Watson WWI John was born in Mount Stewart, PEI, in February 1883 and sailed to England and enlisted in the British Services serving in the field artillery in France and with the Army during the occupation of Germany. He was shipwrecked off the coast of Spain and spent several hours in the Mediterranean Sea before being rescued. He passed away in 1976. PERRY, Vincent WWII Vincent was born in St. Nicholas, PEI, on November 21, 1918. He enlisted in 1942 and joined the North Novas serving in England, France, Belgium and Holland. He was discharged in 1946. Vincent now resides at Andres Lodge in Summerside, PEI. PRATT, Charles Herbert WWII Charles was born in St. Peterʼs Bay, PEI, on January 18, 1917, and enlisted in 1941 with the Army Tank Corps and served in England where he was sent on raids to Germany. During one of these raids in May 1942, his plane was hit, crashed, and he was badly injured. After recovery, he returned to flying and in June 1943 in North Africa, he was reported missing and presumed dead in May 1944. The Royal Canadian Legion Prince Edward Island Command
