Lest We Forget / 59 REID, John Patrick WWII John was born on Apri l 17, 1924 and is the son of Clarence Reid and Anastasia Bolger of Hope River, PEI. He joined the Army in 1943 and took his basic training at Beach Grove, PEI and also advanced training in light arti l lery at Eastern Passage, NS. He was discharged for medical reasons in 1943. REID, James Norbert WWII James was born on May 5, 1925 in Stanley Bridge. He was the son of Walter and May (Cul len) Reid. He joined the Army in October 1941 and took his basic training at Petawawa, Ontario. A bronchial condition prevented him from serving overseas. He was discharged in 1946. He l ived his married l ife in Pembroke, Toronto and Barrie, Ontario. James passed away on December 18, 2002. REID, Thomas L. WWII Tom was born on August 8, 1917 In Stanley Bridge, PEI. He joined the Canadian Army during World War Two and was stationed in Hal ifax. He was a farmer and carpenter by trade after his return and l ived in Hope River. Tom passed away on November 14, 1999. RENNEHAN (MACEWEN), Vivian WWII Vivian was born on April 13, 1924. She enl isted in the Army and served during World War Two and now resides in Hal ifax, N.S. RENNIE, Ralph Hampton WWII Ralph was born in Alma, PEI. He enlisted in the Army R.C.A.S.C. 6th Division Amm. Co as a Private on Apri l 9, 1942 and served in Canada.
