Lest We Forget / 57 REID, Daniel Bernard WWII D.B. was born on May 4, 1925 in Stanley Bridge, PEI. He enlisted in the Army in World War Two as a mechanic with the Tanks Corp. After his discharge, he had his own garage where he worked as a mechanic. He moved his family to Alberta in 1972. D.B. passed away on March 4, 1998 and is buried in Alberta. PRATT, Roderick Bruce WWII Roderick was born in St. Peterʼs Bay, PEI on January 21, 1927. He enl isted in the Canadian Army on December 8, 1944 and received his discharge on November 20, 1945. Roder ick passed away on September 19, 2001. QUINN, Louis WWII Louis was born on March 29, 1920. He was the son of John and Emma (Turner) Quinn of Stanley Bridge. He enl isted in the Canadian Army, training in Amherst and Debert, NS. He served overseas in England, France, Germany, Holland and Belgium. REID, Gladys WWII Gladys was born in Crapaud, P.E.I. on January 27, 1922. She joined the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps as a Nursing Sister on January 2, 1944 and was posted to Debert, N.S. for basic training, then to Cogswel l Army Medical Hospital in Hal ifax for 3 ½ months. She was then sent to England where she nursed in #17 Canadian General Hospital #19 C.G.H., #24 C.G.H., and #11 C.G.H. Gladys returned to Canada in April 1946 and was discharged on May 23, 1946. She married Major Reid on September 4, 1946. REID, Justin WWII Justin was born on December 28, 1921 in Stanley Bridge, PEI. He served in World War Two with the Royal Canadian Air Force in England. From 1945-1970, he served with the Canadian Army Forces and was stationed in Summerside, Chil l iwack, BC, Germany and Petawawa, Ontario. Justin now resides in Renfrew, Ontario.
