Lest We Forget / 11 ARSENAULT, Fred WWII Fred was born in St. Louis, PEI. After joining the Army in June 1940, he served fourteen months in Newfoundland. In 1942, he went to England where he was transferred to the Cape Breton Highlanders. He spent fourteen months in Italy, and in June 1945, he went to Hol land and then to Hal ifax. Upon his discharge on December 15, 1945, Fred returned to St. Louis. ARSENAULT, Cyrus WWII Cyrus was born in St. Louis, PEI. He enl isted on January 5, 1943, and served in the Central Mediterranean Area, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. Upon his discharge on March 23, 1946, Cyrus returned to St. Louis. ARSENAULT, Emile KOREAN WAR Emi le is the son of Andre and Leonide Arsenault. He enlisted in the Canadian Army in August 1950. He served with the Royal 22nd Regiment during the Korean Confl ict and was discharged in November 1952. ARSENAULT, Theophile WWI Killed in Action Theophi le, son of Leon (Jean O.) Arsenault and El izabeth LeBlanc, served in the First World War in England and France. He was kil led in action on May 5, 1917 at the age of 19. ARSENAULT, Ulric J. Octave “Spud” WWI Ulric is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fel ix Arsenault. He enl isted in the First World War at the age of sixteen, on November 30, 1915. He served in Canada and overseas with the Canadian Expeditionary Force in the 105th and 26th Battal ions. He was twice wounded in action whi le serving in France, and was discharged on January 10, 1919 in Charlottetown. Ulric is buried in Summerside, PEI.
