Lest We Forget / 3 The Royal Canadian Legion Prince Edward Island Command P.E.I. Command of The Royal Canadian Legion would like to thank all those who made possible the 4th War Time Service Recognition Booklet. The co-operation of Branches, Ladies’ Auxiliaries and individuals, and the continued support of advertisers and donors is very gratifying. This year, the 90th Anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge, is yet another reminder of the sacrifices made by our Veterans to preserve the values which we, as canadians, cherish, namely peace, freedom, truth and justice. These booklets will help keep alive the memory of our veterans who served their country and sovereign during the two World Wars and the Korean War, but let us also remember those who served with United Nations missions, NATO operations and especially our present day Afghanistan veterans. Proceeds from this booklet are used to assist Legion programs such as Veterans Service Bureau, Legion National Track & Field Meet for athletes 17 years and under and bursaries.
