Lest We Forget / 49 MacAULAY, John William WWII John was born in Cardigan, PEI to Dan MacAulay and Rosella (Sullivan) MacAulay. He was enlisted in 1939 and served with the PEI Highlanders, Cape Breton Highlanders, and the Lanark and Renfrew Scottish Regiment. John was killed in action on December 13, 1944 and is buried in Villa Nova Cemetery, Italy. MacAULAY, Joseph (Joe) WWII Joe served with the North Novies. He still resides in Cardigan working with his cattle. MacAULAY, Stirling WWII KOREA Stirling first joined the military on June 13, 1941 and was discharged on November 8, 1946. He re-enlisted on August 19, 1950 and was discharged on August 31, 1972. During his time in the military, Stirling served in the 8th Heavy A. A., and the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry. MacCALLUM, Kenneth E. “Bus” WWII Bus was born in 1915 in St. Peter’s Bay. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force with the service police. Bus passed away in 1991. MacCORMACK, Joseph D. KOREA Joseph was a Corporal in the Royal Canadian Regiment. He was killed in Korea on December 31, 1951 and is buried in the U.N. Cemetery in Pusan, Korea.
