He was awarded the 1939-45 Star, France and Germany Star, Defense Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp and War Medal 1939-45. Art passed away in Toronto in 1988. He was a brother to Ivan Doherty. DOHERTY, Ivan WWII Ivan was born in 1926 in Boston, Mass. He served in the Navy from 19411945. He served in the Battle of the Atlantic, North Atlantic Convoy Duty, Pre-invasion Mine Sweeping off the coast of France, D-Day Invasion, and British Home Fleet. He was a brother to Arthur Doherty. DOIRON, Anthony Felix WWII Anthony was born in Duvar, PEI. He served in the Canadian Army with the #6 District Depot in Canada, United Kingdom, and Continental Europe. Anthony was killed in action. DOIRON, Henry J. WWII Henry was born in 1911 in St. Charles, PEI. He served in the Canadian Army from 1940-1942. Henry passed away in 1971. DONOVAN, Chester WWII Chester was born in 1918 in Charlottetown, PEI. He served in the Canadian Army as a dispatch rider from 1939 until 1942, when he was injured. Chester passed away in 1993.
