He served with the Royal Canadian Navy as an Able Seaman until he was discharged in 1946. Melvin is deceased. (V71835) MACLEAN, Rena WWII Rena MacLean was born in Souris, PEI. She was a nursing sister during the Second World War and was drowned when her ship, Landover Castle, was torpedoed and went down while taking wounded soldiers back from the war. MACLENNAN, Chester WWII Chester was born in Victoria West, PEI in 1919. He served with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders from 1941-45. Chester passed away in 2004.
