Lest We Forget / 29 HICKEY (STEWART), Marion WWII Marion was born in Hamilton, PEI in 1923. She enlisted in 1943 and served with the Royal Canadian Air Force Women’s Division. (W314287) HOGG, Blanche WWII Blanche was born in 1918. She served with the Canadian Women’s Army Corp. (W6654) HORTON, David Luke WWII David was born in Mount Albion, PEI in 1921. He enlisted in Charlottetown and served in the Canadian Army in England, also became missing in action in France, where he was wounded and became a Prisoner of War. He was discharged in 1945. David passed away in 1996. HUNTER, Thomas WWII Native to Scotland, Thomas volunteered to join the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1940. He served with the 31st General Reconnaissance School in Charlottetown from 1941-43, returning to Britain in 1944. There, he was posted to No.50 Squadron Lancasters in Skelling Thorpe, England, then posted to British Highland Light Infantry, serving in Italy and Greece with the Occupational Forces. He was discharged in England and returned to Canada in 1946. (980165) JOHNSON, Robert G. WWII Robert was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1917. He served with the Canadian Army from 1939-41, the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1941-46, and the SEAC in Burma. He also served with the Royal Canadian Air Force Auxiliary from 1946-49.
