He served overseas with the Princess Patricia’s Light Infantry. In 1945-46, Pat contacted the returning veterans of WWII with the acquisition of a Legion charter in mind. Negotiations proceeded to acquire a building from Mount Pleasant Airport. This building was hauled by grader to its resting place on Highway # 2 on the east boundary of the Village of Miscouche. It was unique that a one bedroom apartment was incorporated in the “Home” building. First to occupy the apartment was Manager / Custodian Dave Cameron, then by O.J. Gallant, Frank MacNeill & Wife, and finally by George & Nina Langmaid. Branch No. 18 - Miscouche
