267 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND MUIRHEAD, Robert Garth Robert was born on July 6, 1930, in Toronto, Ontario. He joined the RCAMC on January 5, 1951 at 6 PD in Toronto and went to Camp Borden, Ontario for basic training. In Camp Borden, he transferred to the RCAPC and worked in accounting at the medical school and RCEME workshop until October 1953. From October 1953 to October 1954, he served in 25CRG Japan and Korea. Upon returning from Japan and Korea, he served in Calgary HQ, QOROFC and LdSH from October 1954 to April 1961. In March 1961 to March 1962, he served in Vietnam. When he returned from Vietnam, he served in Toronto from April 1962 to December 1966. While there, his job was auditing militia units from Toronto to Kenora. Wolseley Barracks, London, Ontario was his next and last posting from January 1967 to January 1972, serving as controller in the accounting department. He retired as Warrant Officer on January 5, 1972 and was on terminal leave until June 20, 1972. NAUGHTON (DINEWALL), Thelema Thelma was born in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England. She enlisted in the Air Force (Regular) on June 24, 1961 and served with the WRAF Communications in England and in Germany. She was discharged on June 23, 1965. Upon return to civilian life in England, she worked for the GPO head post office in Sheffield on their switchboard and came to Canada in 1966. Thelma is a forty-year member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 582 and resides in Mississauga. MURPHY, Suzanne Pauline Suzanne was born in Toronto, on August 17, 1959. She enlisted in the Army (Regular Force) in May 1975 and served with 709 (Toronto) Communication Regiment in Borden and Kingston, Ontario, and Esquimalt, BC until her release in May 1980. Suzanne is a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Uxbridge Branch 170.
