9 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND A MESSAGE FROMTHE LADIES’ AUXILIARY PRESIDENT It is indeed a distinct pleasure for me as the President of the Ladies' Auxiliary of Ontario Provincial Command to welcome you to the Eleventh Volume of our Military Service Recognition Book Program. This book is a book of Remembrance and I would encourage all members of the Ladies' Auxiliary who are also Veterans, to submit their stories and photographs for publication into one of these important books of Remembrance. This is a wonderful way in which to hear, learn about and remember, not only those who have served and those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice, but to also honour those who are currently serving in our Canadian Armed Forces. These books will serve future generations about the history of those Veterans within the Province of Ontario who have served our Country well in preserving peace so that we may continue to live in freedom and enjoy the good life that they have given us. Thank you to the Chair of this program Ron Goebel and the two Provincial Coordinators, Carolyn McCaul and Rae Ann Bauman for their hard work and dedication in making this book the success that it is.
