425 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND Remembrance Day Poetry I am a soldier I wonder how my life will change I see the future that awaits my presence I want life to be full of peace and equality I am a soldier I pretend my life isn't all about war and passings I feel the courage of my relatives that fought for their lives I touch the ground and feel the sky I feel those who lost their lives I worry I will lose time with those who fly I cry the bullets out of friends who die I am a soldier I understand the pain and dedication to life I say I see the future of good times and rough times I dream for people to accept and see peace and equality in everyone’s dreams I try to save lives with hope and try to fight the fear and pain I hope to have respectful justice and ignore the rough past I am a soldier
