He joined the Army in 1939 in Stratford, Ontario and served with the Perth Regiment in Canada, Italy, France and Holland until his discharge in 1945. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion for 27 years before he died on July 23, 1974. MILLS, Wilfred A. Wilfred was born in Merritton, Ontario on April 25, 1914. He joined the Army in 1944 and served with the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry of the Royal Canadian Infantry Corps. Lieutenant Mills was killed in action in Holland on April 16, 1945 and is buried in a Canadian Military Cemetery in Holten, Holland. MILLS, George M. George was born in Tara, Ontario on November 23, 1923. He joined the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals on February 11, 1942 and served in Canada, England and Normandy until his discharge on July 31, 1945. After the war, George worked for Canada Post and was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Owen Sound Branch 6 before he passed away on June 18, 1996.
