207 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND LOUCH, John Wallace John was born on November 14, 1898, in Portsmouth, England. In Canada, he worked like his brother as a farm labourer in Omemee. He joined the 57th Regiment in Peterborough and finally joined the regular force “B” Coy 109th Battalion on July 11, 1916, in Barriefield. With the SS Olympiche sailed on July 23, 1916, from Halifax to England. He was soon transferred to the 93rd and then to the 124th Battalion. On August 9, 1917, he was badly wounded by a shrapnel shell on his legs, arms, left side and chest. Finally, on September 24, 1917, he was invalided back to Canada. He was in the hospital in Canada until July 24, 1919. He started a family after the war and lived all of his life in Lindsay, Ontario and passed away on May 12, 1972. LOUCKS, George Cecil George was born in Flesherton, Ontario on March 20, 1920. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1940 and served as a Sergeant in Canada until his discharge in October 1945. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Chesley Branch 144 for sixty years before he passed away on April 30, 2011. LOUCH, Reginald Percy Reginald was born in Portsmouth, England on August 15, 1896. He moved to Canada and resided in Omemee, Ontario where he was a farm labourer. His mother still lived in Liverpool, England. On March 15, 1916, he joined the Army (Regular Force) with the 109th Battalion “B” Coy and trained in Barriefield and left on board the SS Olympic on July 23, 1916. He was transferred to the 38th Battalion. He was wounded twice, the first time in 1917 with a gunshot wound to his elbow and again on October 1, 1918, with another gunshot wound to his head. He was discharged on February 14, 1919, in Kingston, Ontario. After the war, he married and started a family. He worked for the railway in Lindsay and passed away in 1978.
