381 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND You will never know how much we thank you. Remembrance Day, November 11th - the day WW1 ended. Although this is the day to salute you, every hour of every year we thank you.Without your sacrifice for this nation, us as a whole would not be standing here today. I thank you for your bravery not only in the battles you fought but for the sacrifices you made that allow me to be free and, in the school, I am in writing this essay. You sacrificed so I could have freedom of speech. You left your homes, friends, and family to fight a war. You left to fight for us and you died for us. We stand here today to honour your unbelievable bravery. We thank the soldiers who never came home and the ones who were fortunate enough to come back but were never the same. I will never feel the fear and worries of the families of the soldiers that left to fight. You fought so I wouldn’t have to. I am not sure if everyone in the world understands what would have happened if you did not put your lives on the line for all our freedom. I would not be able to live freely. I honour Your sacrifice as a gift to us and our nation. You never gave up and you selflessly fought for your freedom and mine. You will never know how much we thank you.
