335 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND SMITH, Lloyd Henry Lloyd was born in Tobermory, Ontario on September 30, 1907. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force with the Air Sea Rescue Corps. After initial training, Lloyd was posted to Halifax/Dartmouth, Nova Scotia where he was responsible for provision. After returning from service, Lloyd built a boat named “The Penguin” that he used as a tour boat taking divers out to wrecks and doing tours to Flower Pot Island. He was a caretaker of Flower Pot Island for five years. He was an avid photographer and naturalist and also a master craftsman wood carver. Lloyd passed away on January 21, 1978. SPEARS, Percy Percy was born in Tobermory, Ontario in 1909. He served in the Army (Regular Force) with 14th Field Regiment Canadian Engineers. Percy passed away in 2002. SPEARS, Milton Milton was born in Tobermory, Ontario on October 2, 1922. He served in the Army with the Signal Corps during World War II. Milton passed away on May 9, 2001.
