209 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND HOFFMAN, Erroll Galt Erroll was born in Havelock, Ontario on October 28, 1919. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force (Regular Force) during World War II. Erroll thought he got impetigo, a skin infection, from shaving on a train. The treatment for impetigo was sulfur, which he was allergic to. Erroll’s job with the Air Force was flying escorts off the east coast. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Havelock Branch for thirty years. Erroll passed away on July 16, 1989. HOLDEN, Thomas Wayne C. Thomas was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on April 18, 1947. He enlisted in the Army (Regular Force) in December 1964 and served with the RCEME in Canada and in Germany. He was released from service in 1991. Thomas received the Canadian Forces Decoration and Clasp and a medal for serving in Germany. HOLDEN, Deborah Jean Deborah was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta on October 28, 1955. She enlisted in the Army (Regular Force) onAugust 31, 1973, and served with 1PPCLI in Calgary, various schools in Borden, NDHQ for nine years at various jobs including Career MGR. She attained the rank of Warrant Officer. Deborah was discharged on September 6, 1999. She currently resides in Kanata and is a six-year member of The Royal Canadian Legion Kanata Branch 638.
