541 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND WILLSIE, Frank S. Frank was born on October 8, 1893, in Bosanquet Township near Thedford, Ontario. Frank and his brothers travelled west for work. He joined the Army in 1914 duringWorldWar I. He was stationed in England and France. After returning from overseas in 1919, Frank went back to England and in December 1924 and married Dolly LeQueux, whom he met during the war. They returned to the west in Beaufield, Saskatchewan. Franck contacted tuberculosis, as a result of being gassed during the war and passed away on July 26, 1933. WILSON, Edwin Lewis Edwin Lewis Wilson was born in Toronto, Canada on October 17, 1915. Edwin’s family moved to Thedford, Ontario and owned a Feed Mill Business. Later, Edwin married and moved back to Toronto, working as a dairyman. He enlisted with the 48th Highlanders on September 6, 1939. Edwin died as a result of injuries sustained in a road accident. He is buried at Agira Canadian War Cemetery, Agira, Provincia di Enna, Sicilia Italy. EdwinWilson’s name is inscribed on the Thedford Cenotaph. WILLSIE, Thomas “Gordon” Gordon was born on September 24, 1897 in Bosanquet Township and resided in Thedford, Ontario. On June 14, 1918 he enlisted with the Army during World War I and served with the 1st Depot Battalion Canadian Expeditionary Force in Canada. Gordon was discharged on January 21, 1919 and returned to Thedford. He then decided to go west to work with his brothers with farming and prospecting. Gordon married Agnes Allard and raised three children. He passed away in 1980 and is buried at the Thedford Baptist Cemetery.
