407 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND ONUCKY, Giovanni Daniel Giovanni was born in Sudbury, Ontario on September 4, 1987. He enlisted in the Navy in 2010 and served on HMCS Calgary and HMCS Vancouver for Operation Artemis and Operation Projection. OTTEN, Horace John Horace was born on September 26, 1894, in Lambeth, London, England to John Thomas andAlice (Morris) Otten. He emigrated to Canada in March 1913 himself, the rest of the family following later. They settled in Kingston. Horace married Mabel Pollitt in Kingston and two days later, on January 8, 1916, he enlisted to the 146th Battalion. He departed Halifax for the UK on the SS Southland on September 26, 1916. Horace trained in Dibgate and Bramshott until April 9, 1917, when he departed for France. He was taken on strength by 20th Battalion and joined them on May 11. He served in France and Belgium with the 20th until April 6, 1919, when he returned to the UK. He departed the UK on May 14 on SS Caronia from Liverpool arriving in Toronto on May 24, 1919, received his discharge the same day. After the war, he was employed as an electrician in the Kingston power plant and then as a guard at the penitentiary. Horace died at home on May 24, 1945 and is buried in Cataraqui Cemetery in Kingston. ORSBORNE, William James William was born on October 23, 1898 in Sussex, England. He enlisted in the Army Regular Force in 1914. He served in bothWorldWar I andWorldWar II in Canada, England and France. He served at the Battle of Vimy Ridge and Ypres with the Artillery. He was awarded the British Empire Defence Medal and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. William was discharged from service in 1918. He passed away in November 1969.
