263 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND HODGIN, James James was born on May 23, 1926 in Oldham Lanscashire, England. He enlisted on May 30, 1944 and served in the Merchant Navy (British) on the North Atlantic and Baltic on troop and hospital ships Fort Bose, Lockmonar, Athlone Castle and Alcantara. He was discharged in 1950. James received the Atlantic and Artic Star Medals and the War Medal 1939-1945. He is a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 605 and resides in St. George, Ontario. HODSON, Colin Gordon Colin was born in London, England on December 5, 1942. He enlisted in the Royal Navy in 1958 and served on HMS Grenville, HMS St. Brides Bay, HMS Londonderry, HMS Highburton, HMS Diana and HMS St. Vincent on the Mediterranean, Far East, Middle East, West Indies and Home Waters. He served in Iceland with Fishery Protection Iceland Patrol and during the IndonesiaMalaysia Confrontation. He was released in 1969. He is a fifty-year member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 6 in Owen Sound where he has been residing since 1974. HODGINS, Robert Bruce Robert was born on September 14, 1923 in McGillivray Township, Parkhill, Ontario, the son of Henry and Nancy Hodgins. Robert worked on the farm, later at McCormick Ltd. in London, Ontario. He enlisted on November 2, 1942, joining the Royal Canadian Air Force Division 625 Squadron. Robert arrived overseas on September 13, 1943 and was a flight sergeant and air gunner. On June 11, 1944, Robert was killed and is buried in Clichy Northern Cemetery in Hauts-de-Seine, France.
