311 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND McLELLAN, John Andrew John was born in Listowel, Ontario on September 2, 1915. He enlisted in April 1941 to serve in World War II with the Army but did not see action as he was given an honourable discharge because of a heart murmur. John passed away on February 5, 1976. McQUIGGAN, Ronald A. Ronald was born in Strathroy, Ontario on November 16, 1925. He later lived in Arkona, Ontario and worked for Coleman’s Meat Company and Central Aircraft in Crumlin. He joined the Canadian Navy in 1943 during World War II and was consigned to the Signal Corps Division Restigouche in St. Hyacinthe, Quebec. While serving there, Ronald contracted meningitis and was transferred to Montreal Hospital, where he died on July 14, 1944. Ronald is buried in the Arkona Cemetery. MCNABB, Joseph Raymond Joseph was born on February 26, 1897 in Sullivan Township. He enlisted in the Army on February 21, 1918 and served with the Canadian Expeditionary Force, 4th Division CMGC in Canada, Britain and France during World War I. He was discharged on June 16, 1919. Joseph married Elsie Farrow on June 29, 1921 and had a daughter, Marjorie, on October 21, 1923. In 1928, the family moved to Desboro to a farm just outside of Tara. He was a member of The Canadian Legion Tara Branch 383 for 37 years. Joseph passed on June 12, 1984 and is buried in Desboro Public Cemetery.
